چکیده
Abstract. Current Resource Assessment plays a major part in Tidal Energy Assessment. The paper looks at analysing the total current data collected from BSP Fairley Oilfield 1st January 2019 up to 31 December 2019. and its direction was measured using ADCP, is placed an area with depth of about 60m. categorized into 3 depths; speed for overall depth, top half sea, bottom sea. According recorded have average 0.27m/s maximum 1.4m/s. For 0.33m/s 2.24m/s. Finally, speeds has 0.22m/s 1.66m/s. all three categorizes were consistent which flow be coming East-North East East, majority time.

Assessment of sediment quality in Baltic Sea coastal waters
The investigations on the quality status of the sediments in the German Baltic Sea coastal waters focused on the natural background as assessment basis. On this basis, the chemical sediment quality can be evaluated. Furthermore, the decision about the relocation of dredged material from federal waterways depends on this assessment. The sediment quality of the German Baltic Sea coastal waters be...
متن کاملOptical Closure in Coastal Waters
Our scientific objectives encompass both empirical and theoretical investigations. Empirical objectives are: 1) develop new instruments and methods for measuring ocean-optical properties, 2) conduct systematic coastal ocean measurements for testing closure and for characterizing optical properties and the processes related to their changes, and 3) perform laboratory experiments to investigate o...
متن کاملWater Quality in Coastal Waters
The aim of this work is to introduce the potential of satellite-based remote sensing data to agencies responsible for monitoring and managing water quality in the coastal zone of Western Australia. There exists a knowledge and/or expertise gap between satellite data providers and potential end users. This project aims to close the gap by developing a fundamental management tool that will be geo...
متن کاملSub-kilometer length scales in coastal waters
Patchiness or spatial variability is ubiquitous in marine systems. With increasing anthropogenic impacts to coastal resources and coastal systems being disproportionately large contributors to ocean productivity, identifying the spatial scales of this patchiness, particularly in coastal waters, is of critical importance to understand coastal ecosystem dynamics. The current work focuses on fine ...
متن کاملSeasonality in East Africa's coastal waters
A review of existing literature and data on seasonal patterns in East Africa's coastal waters indicates distinct seasonality in physical, chemical and biological oceanographic parameters. Seasonal patterns are dictated by the behavior of the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) which creates 2 distinct seasons the northeast and southeast monsoons. SE monsoon (March to October) meteorological ...
